Some patients need a formula that avoids dyes, gluten, lactose, or another ingredient listed on their allergy or intolerance notes. When the prescription and available pharmaceutical-grade materials allow it, we can discuss options with you and your clinician.

People who react to inactive ingredients in commercial products, or who need a dye-free or gluten-aware preparation when clinically appropriate. Pets with known sensitivities can also be candidates when the veterinarian writes for it.
What “allergen-aware” means here
It means we take your avoid list seriously and prepare within what the Rx and our ingredients allow. It does not mean a guarantee of a completely allergen-free environment or that every commercial product can be remade without a restricted excipient.
What to put on the prescription
- Active drug, strength, form, and directions
- Clear avoid list (for example: no dyes, no gluten-containing fillers)
- Any prior commercial product that caused a problem

- Tell your clinician what you need to avoid.
- Have them send a patient-specific Rx to our Orange pharmacy.
- Call us if you want to confirm ingredient notes before pickup.
