Pet compounding for dogs and cats
One page for the forms pet owners ask about most. Everything still needs a veterinarian’s prescription. Pickup is at our Orange counter on South Tustin Street—convenient for Tustin and Orange County pet owners.
Dogs
Custom strengths for size, flavored liquids when pills fail, and treats when the vet writes for them. Tell us if your dog is a picky eater—we have heard every story. Bring the vet’s directions to pickup so we can review measuring and storage.
Cats
Cats are specialists at refusing medicine. Flavored suspensions and transdermal options (when prescribed) can help. Never invent a dose at home; stick to the veterinarian’s directions. If administration fails repeatedly, ask the clinic whether a different form is appropriate—do not change the dose yourself.
Flavors and treats
Chicken, fish, liver, and other meat flavors are common requests. Not every drug can be made into a treat. We will say what is realistic for the prescription in hand.
PLO ear gels
Some medications are written as PLO gels applied to the inner ear flap so they absorb through the skin. That only works when used as directed—usually with gentle massage into the skin. Ask us to walk you through technique at pickup.
